The Swedish National Defence University
The Swedish National Defence University is a specialized university that conducts research and educates officers and students in the field of defense, crisis management and security. We educate at all academic levels, have around 2,000 students and approximately 550 employees. We are located in Karlstad and Stockholm.
The Swedish National Defence University educates and conducts research in six subjects: international law, defense systems, war science, leadership and management, military history and political science.
Mälardalen University
MDU has campuses in Eskilstuna and Västerås. Around 18 000 students study courses and programmes in Design and Communication, Economics, Healthcare, Education, Engineering, Chamber Music and Opera.
At MDU research is carried out in many disciplinary domains to solve problems in society, whereby research in Future Energy and Embedded Systems is internationally prominent. MDU enjoys a close collaboration with the private and public sectors, which contributes towards the better health of people and a more sustainable planet. The University is located on both sides of Lake Mälaren, with campuses in Eskilstuna and Västerås.
